What documents do I need to collect a car at Phuket?

Thai nationals bring an ID card and a valid original driving licence; visitors bring a passport, visa and international driving permit. Corporate rentals also need a company certificate issued within three months and a copy of the authorised signatory’s ID. Drivers must be 21 or older and have held a licence for at least a year — 25 or older for the sport and luxury groups. Add your flight number to the booking as well — if the flight is delayed we move the pick-up time for free.

Phuket is staffed 24 hours a day, every day. You can collect at the in-terminal counter for any flight, including red-eye and pre-dawn arrivals, with no out-of-hours surcharge, and returns work the same way at any time.

How much is the deposit and when do I get it back?

The deposit starts at 3,000 THB for the eco group and tops out at 15,000 THB for premium cars; the exact figure appears on each car’s page before you book. At Phuket you can pay it in cash or on a credit card, and it comes back in full within seven working days of the return provided the car is undamaged.

How do I get to Phuket, and is there parking?

The branch is on Thep Krasattri Road in Mai Khao, with a free shuttle from both the domestic and international terminals every 20 minutes — about a seven-minute ride. The pick-up point is on the outer lane of the arrivals kerb; look for our red sign. Our lot holds 18 cars and you can leave yours with us free of charge while you fly home.
